Welcome to DriveReady.co (“DriveReady,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We connect vehicle owners (“Drivers”) with certified automotive inspectors (“Inspectors”) to perform virtual vehicle inspections required for rideshare and rental platforms. These Terms of Use form a legally binding agreement between anyone accessing our website or using our Services (“you”) and DriveReady regarding your access to and use of our virtual inspection services (the “Services”).

EMERGENCY SITUATIONS: DriveReady is not a roadside assistance service. If your vehicle is unsafe to drive or you are involved in an accident, please call 911 or your local emergency services.

Acceptance of the Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use carefully. By accessing or using DriveReady, scheduling an appointment, or purchasing an inspection, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. DriveReady services are available only to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and residents of the United States.

The Services

DriveReady provides a platform to connect Drivers with Inspectors for the purpose of validating the visual safety condition of a vehicle via a live video call (a “Virtual Inspection”). Upon successful completion of a Virtual Inspection where the vehicle meets the necessary criteria, the Inspector will issue a signed digital inspection form (the “Certificate”).

DriveReady and our Inspectors provide an assessment of the vehicle's condition at the specific time of the inspection based on visual evidence. We do not provide mechanical diagnostics, engine repair advice, or warranties regarding the future performance of the vehicle.

Payment and Refund Policy

One-Time Payment: Services are charged on a per-inspection basis at the time of booking. There are no recurring subscriptions or hidden fees.

Refunds: You may cancel your appointment for a full refund up to 24 hours before your scheduled time. Once a Virtual Inspection has been conducted and a Certificate (Pass or Fail) has been issued, services are considered rendered and are non-refundable.

Free Retries: If your vehicle fails the initial inspection, DriveReady offers free re-inspections (Retries) to verify that the specific safety issues have been corrected. Retries must be scheduled within 30 days of the original inspection.

Virtual Inspection Process

To complete a Virtual Inspection, you agree to:

  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection and a device with a working camera and microphone.
  • Position the vehicle in a safe, well-lit location (not on a public road with active traffic).
  • Follow the Inspector’s instructions to demonstrate the functionality of vehicle features (e.g., lights, wipers, horn, seatbelts).
  • Provide accurate odometer readings and Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN).

All Virtual Inspections are recorded for quality control, liability, and audit purposes. By using the Service, you consent to this recording.

Rideshare and Rental Platform Acceptance

DriveReady utilizes Inspectors who hold certifications (such as ASE) generally accepted by major rideshare (e.g., Uber, Lyft) and rental (e.g., Turo) platforms. However, these platforms are third-party entities with their own independent policies. While we guarantee our forms meet the standard requirements, DriveReady cannot compel a third-party platform to accept a document if that platform has suspended your account or changed their specific intake policies without notice.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use DriveReady to:

  • Submit fraudulent vehicle information or attempt to inspect a vehicle you do not have legal possession of.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse our Inspectors or support staff.
  • Record the inspection for commercial distribution without our written consent.
  • Use the Service while driving a moving vehicle on a public roadway.
Disclaimer of Warranties

DRIVEREADY MAKES NO WARRANTY AS TO THE LONG-TERM SAFETY, DRIVABILITY, OR MECHANICAL RELIABILITY OF YOUR VEHICLE. THE INSPECTION IS A VISUAL CHECK OF SPECIFIC SAFETY ITEMS AT A SPECIFIC MOMENT IN TIME. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY ARISING FROM MECHANICAL FAILURES, ACCIDENTS, OR DAMAGES THAT OCCUR AFTER THE INSPECTION IS COMPLETED. YOU EXPRESSLY ASSUME THE RISKS INHERENT IN OPERATING A VEHICLE FOR RIDESHARE OR RENTAL PURPOSES.

Limitation on Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PROVIDED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL DRIVEREADY, ITS AFFILIATES, INSPECTORS, OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF BUSINESS.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DriveReady, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms of Use or your use of the Services.

Text Message Communications

By booking an appointment, you consent to receive transactional text messages regarding your appointment status, reminders, and links to your Certificate. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt-out by replying STOP, though this may prevent you from receiving your inspection link.

Arbitration Agreement and Class Action Waiver

All disputes, claims, and controversies arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court. You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted in your individual capacity only and not as a class action or other representative action, and you expressly waive your right to file a class action or seek relief on a class basis.

Changes to Terms

We may revise and update these Terms of Use from time to time in our sole discretion. All changes are effective immediately when we post them. Your continued use of DriveReady following the posting of revised Terms of Use means that you accept and agree to the changes.
